| XBOX and PlayStation games could soon give off smells to mimic the stench of battlefields. Players would be able to sniff out cordite.. diesel fumes and burning rubber. The MoD is part-funding the technology for use in soldier training. Compressed air would pump out smells from pots of wax. Console makers such as Xbox could use the whiffs on Halo Wars games or the Call of Duty series. Birmingham University is working on the technology ... which is expected to be ready in three to five years. Thank god... I won't have to change my shorts just yet.. |
