Subsequently you will
LOSE EVERYTHING
IN YOUR PC.....

And the person who sent
it to you will gain access
to your name...
e-mail and password.

This is a new virus which
started to circulate on
Saturday afternoon.

AOL has already confirmed
the severity....
and the anti virus software's
are not capable of
destroying it....

The virus has been
created by a hacker
who calls himself...
"life owner".

PLEASE SEND A COPY
OF THIS TO ALL
YOUR FRIENDS...

And ask them to

PASS IT ON
IMMEDIATELY!

This is complete crap, to put it harshly. You need a hell of a lot more information than an IP address to hack someone, even then the PC has to be on and you have to be away from it.

A virus, on the other hand, maybe could do this, but not just from opening an email. You would need to open the file attatched. I personally scan every file I get via email.

I was recently infected by an MSNbot spyware. I got this through my dad clicking a link and downloading (and opening) a .EXE file.

As for hacking my hotmail account it would need my Password. The only way you could attain that through hacking my Computer would be installing a Keylogger and searching through endless amounts of data to find said password. If a hacker was going to those lengths, maybe he would concentrate on more profitable passwords. Like banking details.

and to whether someone can get
into computer files......Is I suppose
for the more computer literate....
Not being classed as such I
wouldn't be able to argue the point
one way or another...having posted

informed than I to decide for
themselves what is or what isn't
